Jul. 4th, 2010 01:17 pmthere were fireworks to the left as I biked home last night but that's not what I want to tell you about, I want to tell you about how on the right there's a grassy marshy depression collecting drainage and on warm nights like last night the wind that comes over this little swamp is ten degrees cooler than any other wind and fresh and calm and surprising. and somehow this means to me that everything is connected, affected, no matter how safe and static the world seems it harbors these little systems where everything changes and is changed and somehow for me this is a saving metaphor.
