bloomsday taught us many things. I learned that two persons reading in 10-page shifts with adequate supplies of water and caffeine can read at a leisurely pace an average of 32 pages an hour, giving a total estimated time of around 23 hours. and Stephen learned that if you plan on doing something insane and spontaneous you really ought to clear it with your girlfriend first, dammit. All in all a successful test run of the 2004 bloomsday celebrations.
